The Quilters’ Guild are teaming up with Bernina to invite quilters around the UK to join us in the creation of a special Covid Commemorative Quilt.
On the whole, quilters are a social bunch. The sharing of knowledge and projects has been integral to our way of life for centuries.
I have been making quilts for the last 30 years and have explored most patterns and techniques in that time. In the first decade of this century I lost my interest in quilt making and it was the emergence of Modern Quilting that drew me back to it.

We were so excited to celebrate the recent 2021 Festival of Quilts with our exhibition ‘Quilts and their makers’, showcasing 10 historic quilts and 10 pieces from our contemporary works. In this show we explored the variety and skill of our makers both past and present, and celebrated their creativity in a selection of the quilts which were on display.
