We are pleased to announce that The Quilters’ Guild will be hosting its first ever Virtual Conference!
The Conference will take place from Friday 16 – Sunday 18 April 2021, and will run alongside our online AGM on Saturday, 17th April 2021, so do leave space in your diaries to join the online quilting fun. Although many Guild events are open to non-members at a higher cost, the Conference & AGM is our one annual event which is reserved solely for members. If you aren’t a member, don’t despair. Anyone can join The Guild easily online and be eligible to book a place at this fabulous celebration of quilting!
Our colleagues in Region 8 (Essex & Suffolk) have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you a varied online programme of events which includes lectures, workshops and social gatherings. You can join well-known quilters who will teach you new techniques and guide you through interesting makes as well as listen to lectures on a range of topics to sate your quilting appetite.
Intrigued? You can now register and book for workshops, lectures and social meetings via QShop. Some workshops and lectures have limited places, but availability will show up on QShop as you are booking. Please note, you do not need to book to attend the AGM on Saturday, 17th April 2021, and we will be sending members information on the AGM separately. Our QShop event listings include all you need to know about each of the lectures, Zoom and video workshops as well as the social meetings.
Links to attend these events, whether live or on demand will be made available to you nearer to the date of the Conference. Requirements lists for workshops will be sent to you once we have received your booking. If you intend to book for the live lectures, workshops or social meetings you will also need to register.
Registration costs £5.00 and includes all social events and two live lectures by our president, Sheri Warren and curator, Heather Audin, at no extra cost. You do need to book a place to watch these live as numbers are limited.
With your registration you will also be able to enjoy recordings of all six lectures for up to one month after the Conference. We will provide you with details on how to access these in due course. If you would like to attend these lectures live, there is a small charge of £2.00 per lecture.
The afternoon tea session on Friday, 16 April will be hosted by our president, Sheri Warren and chief executive, Chris Gatman. If you plan to attend this event and have any specific questions for Sheri or Chris, do email your questions to:
conference@quiltersguild.org.uk in advance, so that they can be sure to have any information to hand. You will need to book to attend this session in the usual way via QShop.
Booking closes on Monday, 29 March 2021 so please don’t delay to secure your place. An automatic booking confirmation email will be sent to you once you have completed your booking. Please get in touch if you don’t receive your confirmation email via conference@quiltersguild.org.uk. We look forward to seeing you and hope you enjoy the events we have put together for you.
And finally, we would like to say a big thank you to the team working behind the scenes to bring this event programme to you, particularly our volunteers in Region 8. Great job!
