A Ceilidh of Quilters

Standard

What sounds better than three full days of quilting-focused time in beautiful and historic Stirling, Scotland?

Nothing? We agree. That’s why The Quilter’s Guild Conference & AGM 2020 programme has a great mix of national and local talents and skills to provide you with new and exciting opportunities to learn and share more about the craft we all love.

Held from 17 – 19 April 2020, the Conference & AGM will take place at the Stirling Court Hotel, University of Stirling, which is in The Guild’s Region 16. Contact the local Tourist Office for accommodation options. Over three days we have planned an amazing array of full day and half day workshops, lectures, carousel sessions, traders, and the Gala dinner.

Exhibitions will be on display throughout the venue and will include The Sue Ridgwell Challenge, with the theme ‘Celebrating Scotland’, the Young Quilters’ Challenge, entitled ‘Scotland the Brave’. Not only can you see these exhibitions, but you can also enter a quilt in them yourself! The Region 16 Challenge is ‘House, Homes and Grannies Heilan’ Hame” and all Region 16 members are eligible to enter.  Full details of how to enter all these challenges are in the 2020 Conference & AGM brochure. Guild fundraising will include a raffle, guess the weight of the cake, a pincushion tombola, Name the Loch Ness Monster, a ‘Chinese Auction’ and much more.
