Bookings open soon for Europe’s premier quilt show

The Festival of Quilts is Europe’s number one quilt show attracting 24,000 visitors from all over the world. Showcasing thousands of magnificent quilts, the show celebrates patchwork and quilting in all its forms.
Priority bookings for members of The Quilters’ Guild opened at 10am on Monday 9th April allowing members to buy entry tickets, workshops, talks and social events a week before anyone else just login to the members area of The Quilters’ Guild website for the discount code an link to online bookings (standard bookings open at 10am on Monday 16th April).

Join our quilting community for this spectacular four day event taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from the 9th – 12th August.

Textile gallery highlights for 2018 include:

Nancy Crow  – 75 DRAWINGS: EXPLORATIONS IN MONO-PRINTING
This will be the largest exhibition of Nancy’s work ever staged in the UK with 75 quilts on display.

The 1718 Silk Patchwork Coverlet
The 1718 Coverlet, the oldest known surviving dated patchwork coverlet in Britain, is celebrating its 300th anniversary

The 14th Quilt Nihon Exhibition sponsored by Clover
A juried exhibition from Japan with 82 award winning quilt selected for travelling exhibitions.

Other show highlights include ‘An Evening with Ricky Tims’ who returns to The Festival of Quilts after ten years! Workshops & Lectures

300+ workshops take place over the four days including demonstrations, lectures, Quick & Easy Workshops sponsored by Create and Craft and Quilt Academy Classes. Workshops range from one hour to 3 days and suitable for beginners through to the more advance quilter. Whatever you’re looking for you’re sure to find a workshop suitable for you.
